Seeing simsim dearie brings back many memories of the secondary school year back in PBP

Then Ting reminded me that our teachers too are growing old!

Remembering back, we see our teachers getting pregnant

and now their children are growing up!

received an angpao and two mandarin oranges from one of my fav student today

So surprised that she would give on behalf of her parents to me

Valentines 2013

Why o why did we choose the wrong date to dine out

Okay la quite romantic see many couples around the mall

but then those restaurants only serve set meals (expensive!)

and roses

...

Fine, once in a lifetime must try

So end up at TGIF to eat dinner

Ordered two sets to be shared with mum and bro

The appetizer - Stuffed mushrooms (YUM!) and Boneless Buffalo Bites (err soso lo)

Main course - Champion BBQ Chicken and Ribeye Steak (Too big portion! heee we can't even finish it)

Dessert - Blondie Fudge Crunch and Brownie Obsession (too chocolatey but yum)

Nice day with yum yum food

but I still love Jap or Korean food instead

as it is not as oily

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR~!

Here comes the year of snake

of which I did not have a great start on

Blame it on sleepless nights, headache, cough

and I have no luck gambling this year

:(

Boohoo!

But it was fun to gamble with relatives!

Lots of laughter to begin the year with.

Reunion dinner was great this year!

We've decided to dine at home instead of any restaurants outside

*sucky food and expensive too!*

I adore my grandmother's cooking very much!

Especially her cabbage mixed soup

and stew cabbage!

Homemade meat balls, yam paste and braised pork were yum too!

After dinner, we would mingle around sipping our drinks

and aunty bought fire crackers so we decided to light it

as we are all so hyper

Then we listen to our uncles boasting about my grandfather and how they used to have very long fire crackers tied up and the floor would be covered with thick red papers after blasting them

Panadol doesn't seem to work 

as this is the 3rd time in 2 months being sick.

Every two weeks -.-

So this time, a visit to the doctor is a must

Though I do have a problem remembering when do eat my medicine

I do hope that this is enough to keep sickness at bay for the whole year!

Even though I'm having mild sore throat, but that does not prevent me from snacking

End of intern!

Pheww

Finally it's the end of my intern.

After about 11 weeks of being a trainee

I learnt abit of this that

and got a preview of what this field would be like.

Can't believe that I am actually graduating soon in about half a year.

and with that comes responsibilities (stress!) and much more

This post is mostly about my own thoughts about my intern (boring part) and also some other rantings.

Intern was fun as it was an interesting experience to get to see how food is processed. I also see how what I used to learn comes handy now in understanding the process and so. Some little details that used to be ignored actually plays a great role in the food industry itself to ensure that everything runs smoothly. 

People there are nice. On the outside. Until the day before I was about to finish intern only I realised how much those "good" faces I see in the company are actually fake. Each step, each word, each gesture people take has their own selfish motive behind. I guess I'm still too naive about all this as I only see the surface. But overall, the lab officers there are very kind to explain things to me as much as possible. Execs are great too, giving me chance to see how we apply what we learn and so. Plus, they are also kind to tell me their past work experience (different products, different companies~ such a big big world out there) to give me a better view of what this field is about and what will my future job prospect be. 

Some of the questions that have been bothering me when I think about graduating:

Will I survive in this field?

Which company should I work next time?

Will I be able to do this for the rest of my life?

The idea of graduating seems scary to me. For now that is. 

Most people, especially guys, would want to graduate at an earlier age so that they can come out to start working and earning money ASAP. I remember discussing this with one of my friend and he said that girls don't have to worry much. Girls don't really have to start earning that early as after they get married, their husband can support them. 

Yet for guys, they have to plan to get car, house and savings before they get married. True? 

However, I have alot of things that I want to achieve ASAP thus I also wanna graduate early and start earning..? hahaha

But I don't wanna face the real world so fast ><~

Passion is the main thing to keep us going in any field of work.

Money too..! haha

I do hope that the following half year will pass as slow as possible 

I wanna enjoy my student life as much as possible!
