Random Ipoh Trip

Another random event 

as darl and Ray were planning to go back Ipoh for the weekend

They ajak me to tag along 

so that they can bring me around and make me fat

First stop as we reach Ipoh on Friday night is this place to eat noodles

Something like Hokkien mee here and yummy taugeh! 

Fat, juicy and sweet beansprouts! 

Thank you to Ray's mum and sis for the food and transportation

Finally got chance to see Ray's fat dogs

Next day, they family fed me 5 meals and I was extremely bloated

but contented!

Breakfast at darl's home

as we got no idea what to eat for breakfast

First time I ride in a car drove my darl!

Went for a haircut

as it is cheaper than having it at KL

especially my fringe that was not in shape any more since I cut it for myself

Then went to buy sat keh ma 

(I don't know what is it in English...)

but then WX requested for this particular brand so yea.. on we go to search for this!

Then head for lunch

Then darling suggest me to try soya bean and tau fu fa

but we were too full so we take away instead

This combination is not common in KL hence its nice!

Maybe this is why Ipoh female are pretty?

Darl's bro was back and so they decided to go eat *AGAIN*

Estee Lauder Staff Sales 2013

4th year being involved in this event!

It definitely became an event that I look forward to every year

Better now that darling and other friends (WY WX) joined us!

Before that, we had dinner at Tony Roma's

with the Von, Zixin, PK, and Ray. 

Fish and fries

Then had Juice Works with darling as we got the buy 1 free 1 voucher from uni

I had the apple, orange, carrot and beetroot juice *forgot the name*

while darling had the mango, peach something something. 

HAHAHA

Took us forever to finally decide what we wanted

PK bought bread and cakes from Komugi for Yen as dinner

and belanja us half baked cheese!

The most yummy cheesecake that I've had in a while.

Awwwww

and it's super duper expensive. RM3.50 for a small piece.

Worth the price though.

Komugi has become one of my fav bakery for the yummy spread of cakes

though I can't afford to try all of it.....

:(

Sleep over at PK's aunt house as usual

and yea, as usual we can't sleep that early

so ended up talking until we fell asleep

and like WX, WY can't sleep when we were busy chatting and making noises

and complaining..

so she ended up being the last one to sleep.

Us at 4.30 am

Woke up at 4am

That must be the worst thing to do but its worth it!

Reach Renaissance Hotel at 5.30am and had an awesome spread of buffet breakfast

The pancakes, the Brie, the cereals, the pastries!

Waaaah!

Yea at such early hours

Then we proceed with the shopping spree at 6 am before the VIP's are allowed in at 7 am

How can I not love her? :) SMILEE!

Sadly I buy this for mum's friend not for myself

I'm pretty broke to spend on perfume

The MAC set that was really cheap!

Had my eyes on this set of Coach Poppy Flower perfume

which is very very very very nice

really really nice

but in the end gave this up

Ended back at Pyramid as Yen drop us off

and went to Parkson to survey the perfume

and try the sample again

as the Celcom line was down and I couldn't call my dad to pick me up

Was really tired after the sales that we slept at the lobby while waiting for PK's aunt to finish her work.

But back at home, I wasn't sleepy. Just tired.

A hot monday

The day after the kitty post, my poor girlgirl was attacked by a stray cat.

Normally, stray cats don't bother to entertain my girlgirl.

They stay out of my house compound (Knowing a dog is in here I guess).

They ignore girlgirl pretty much and the smart cats know that the dog is contained inside the house compound so they would take their own sweet time to walk across the street.

BUT THEN!

This new stray cat is so ferocious!

When mum and I came back home from grocery shopping, we spotted an orange tabby in our compound. Once the kitty noticed us, it tried to runaway, breaking a flower pot in its way. Then, I spotted another flower kitty under my mum's car. I walked near it and it wouldn't go away! She just stared back at me. So, mum let girlgirl out, thinking that as usual, the cat will just scatter away before girlgirl gets to her. 

She did walk away to the front gate while girlgirl was stuck inside barking at the cat. Then this smartass cat turns back in attempt to claw at my girlgirl!

Yes, it literally walk back to the gate, put its paws in to claw at my poor frighten dog.

Well obviously all of us was taken aback by the cat's attitude.

Slowly, the cat retreats backwards UNWILLINGLY and walk away after more hisses at girlgirl.

NOT THE END YET!

After we turn around and head back inside the house, the cat came in again!

In like less than a minute!

Goshh the cat is trying to show off I guess.

So yea, I have to shoo-ed the cat away while mum held girlgirl inside the house.

I wonder what will happen if they fight

Ohhh it is spotted again today, chasing another black cat down the street.

Seems like this new cat here is trying to be the KING of the street. The local stray cats here are not so fierce.

Cheese party

FST class students always come in 5-10 minutes late. 

While some of us were in the class waiting 15 minutes before class

So one fine day Prof Gary came in with a plastic bag in his hand

While chatting with us he casually pull a table to the middle

and place 3 paper plates on the table

So we were observing and trying to make sense of what he is trying to do..

and then he takes out a piece of cheese.

And then I saw the blue veins. Oh no, the blue cheese!

Yea so he open up and gauge for our reaction. 

Then he came over and let me have a sniff

Ohhmyyyy

First whiff and it smells milky, cheesie and after a few moments, the awful stench.. ewwwwww. 

and the smell floods the classroom. 

Then he puts out Brie and Emmanuel (Swiss) 

and we went to the front, sniffing the cheeses and snapped pictures while Prof Gary tells us about the cheese.

Then, another two Australian students came in and stop in sudden as they sniff the air and then stare at the table! GASP! CHEESE! 

and then slowly, the smell was not as strong anymore as the classroom was well-ventilated.

Yea, so after the rest of the class fill in the room and notice the presence of cheese on the table, we are all excited! 

Prof Gary said we did mentioned that we never really tried this cheese before so he brought it to class, along with the crackers for us to have a taste.

My personal evaluation:

Blue cheese is smelly but the best among all. Very rich and creamy. When eaten with cracker, there is no foul taste. 

Brie is soft and creamy texture yet not as strong as blue cheese. Nice too.

Emmanuel is the hard cheese and in comparison, the taste is very mild. Not my type of cheese.

Prof Gary: Come on, have more. You can come to the front and take more if you like when I'm lecturing. 

Us: HAHAHA.

Prof Gary: No, I'm serious, come on. 

hahahhahaa

He is one awesome lecturer!

Oh today in lab:

YH, WX, Von and me: Von telling WX and YH to do catalase test for Listeria

then we were laughing at something

Prof Gary: You know what, I should have separated the four of you. You all are so... You all go heeeheeehahhahhaaaa all the time. Like chickens.

Us: HAHAHAHHA! and we got the mother chicken: *points to WX*

Von, Ray and I attended the PARTY by MUSA

yet it was disappointing.

Spend most time queue-ing for registration

and being cut q by the others.

*ahem ahem*

Food was scarce. No more pizza, grabbed a pita and the q for burgerlab was too crazily long. 

So we left feeling disappointed and hungry and tired.

and it was raining!

:( 

Luckily the presence of them made everything bearable.

The people around me can make anything better.

ET: Eh teacher, you got how many kids? (Referring to TT)
*while students and me were eavesdropping overheard*
TT: NO, I don't have kids....
E: *whispering* Eh PY, the student so rude lo say that teacher hahaha
Me: Shhhh I know! HAHAHAHA
ET: Then are you married?
TT: -.- NO
ET: Do you have boyfriend??
TT:....
E, YE and me trying very hard to not burst out laughing.
I am sure TT finds it super offended but oh well, that ET is always so ZZZ
