The Last Date

Desperate to meet up my two fav girls before the new year

I decide to drive to Puchong for lunch and dessert date

Me, being the lazy bum, I also hated driving (I am dangerous on the road)

So it's a big thing that I managed to make it to Ting's house to pick her up

*Excuses excuses I know. I lived there most of my life yet the changes there after I moved away scares me! Confusing roads -.-*

Initially suggested to meet up at Setiawalk but considering the fact that the place lack dessert places so Peggy suggested to meet up at IOI Boulevard instead.

AND SHE WAS LATE!

:(

Oh well, it was a difficult task to find a parking spot there.

I was lucky! The moment I turned into Boulevard, a nice parking spot awaits me!

and so Ting and me walk aimlessly around

while both of us complained about the heat and our poor grumbling tummy

Us in RHB Bank for aircon and to check our EPF

Then the little missy finally arrived! and off we go deciding what to eat

Korean food!

Wander off to shop abit before heading to TPF for dessert

Xmas day

*We wish you a merry christmas and a happy new yeaaaaaaar*

Just when I thought Christmas will be another boring day at home

Woke up late in the morning and watch TV while deciding what to eat

then mum excited-ly showed me an ad of a Japanese ramen restaurant giving out free dumplings for those who dine in

and it was located at Setiawalk

(Yamagoya Ramen)

then I told mum: JOM let's go!

and I thought mum will reject my request (as usual)

but then it was the opposite!

and off we go to Setiawalk for my brunch

The ramen is okay. Not too bad but not as nice as the one I had in One-U

The soup/broth is not as yummy and the charsiew is too salty

but the egg was nice! and the yum yum dumplings (my fave!)

It is a very pretty place

which I am sure must be prettier at night

with ponds and fountains decorated with lights

A place filled with pubs/lounges

and some boutiques

which mum and me was browsing through after lunch.

Bought a new hair clip for myself as Xmas present! :)

and mum was also deciding to buy another hair band

then I asked her: Do you want rabbit ears or ribbon?

HAHAHA

Mum: Of course ribbon la. Looks so ridiculous with the rabbit ears. How old do you think I am?

Me: Well, its cute! and you are a rabbit also ma...~ HAHHA

Nothing much to see around yet we can spend hours walking around

and then enjoyed our teatime before heading home

Christmas always gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling

and I also feel blessed to have my loved ones with me

When I was younger, my brother and me used to put socks (we have this giant Christmas socks given by my aunt) in front of the bedroom door

and the next morning, we would wake up to find angpao in it!

HAHAHA

Parents put RM2 in it just to entertain us

I love going to the malls, seeing beautiful decorations and listening to Christmas songs

hmm. have not been around any malls this year to see the Xmas decos

but I still feel warm deep down in my heart

Seeing little kids believed so much on what they read on the net and how they react to it..

Speaking of cravings, was craving for sushi again this week

and then I saw my cousin posted a plate of salmon sashimi! T.T

So I commented that I want too!

And guess what..!

She say she will treat me to Xenri Japanese buffet!

weeeeee~ *loved* :) *it's costly too*

My brother-in-law works there so cousin's family visit quite often.

Okay, back to reality.

Hi stupid flu bug that is still not leaving.

Hi another week!

Work update

Immersed in my busy life lately that I lost touch with my world

Work is getting better :)

Though I still have nothing much to do

or that I complete task given too fast that I run out of task

Going into a routine of helping Kak Aein to prepare buffers every morning

and today I created a record by preparing a total of 5.5L of buffers!

(Yea and Kak Zaleha was asking me when am I going to finish cause it seems to her that I've been doing it for long time - 1.5 hours)

Then, I will go sort the mayonnaise samples to incubate or for microb test.

and then I will stone or waste time or listen to music until lunch time.

I loveee lunch time and the peaks of working here is having 2 hours lunch time EVERYDAY..!

So I gotta go home, eat, watch tv, online/nap. Go back company continue playing phone until 2pm.

After lunch, I usually have some paper work to do. If not.. I will just help around or watch Kak Aein do microb.
I only realised how outdated petri dishes and agars are!

Petrifilms are so cool! They are like petri dishes with agar, just that it is in a dried film form. Just need to pipette samples on to it and incubate it. But it is difficult to count plate after that especially when the sample itself is redish in colour. 

Simplates are even better! You just mix the sample with some powder media and water and pour them into the plate. This yields faster results and easy to read!

I also learn to sneak back samples (FOOD PRODUCTS not microbs -.-)

Sneaked a bottle of Thai chilli sauce, tomato sauce and also the spicy sauce!

also manage to try the mashed potato flakes and the sauce. I still prefer my own mashed potato without gravy. Hmm I should try out all the products there. hehe

Me: The salmon sashimi at XXX not nice one.

Dad: Not that it is bad but you are spoilt. You had better ones that are EXPENSIVE thats why. 

Me: HAHAHAHA! So we go eat better ones don't want eat this XXX.

Whoops. No wonder my taste buds are so picky now.

but pity the wallet/purse.

Me: *Squeeze the sweet sauce and chilli sauce in my pattern* (Imagine sweet sauce in center with chilli sauce on the outer layer surrounding it)

Dad: *Looks at my sauce plate*

Dad: *Imitates my pattern but doing a reverse instead* (Imagine chilli sauce in the center with sweet sauce surrounding it)

Mum: *Simply squeeze into a mess*

Dad: Why you squeeze till so ugly wan (Referring to my mum's)

HAHAHAHA

so awwww

Cousin: Yea la, even prawn shells and crabs also your dad peel for you.

Me: Hehehe 

Feels so loved by my daddy

that even Ting is complaining that we seldom chat and she hardly get to see me online. 

I guess I've enjoy being in my own sweet world

Baking from scratch

I used to love premixes (those sold in bakery stores or supermarket)

where you just add in eggs or milk or butter, mixed it up and put into oven.

Simple baking job well done!

And it doesn't fail most time.

But as time passes, and my interest in baking grew,

I realised that those premixes are usually too sweet

or that I don't like not knowing what is inside (typical Food Scientist..? Heh)

Else, I also realised the sense of achievement from baking from scratch is much more too! Though not all recipe succeeds, the feeling is great.

Measuring the flour, mixing it one by one.

My fav: Whipping egg whites! Pretty fluffy mess. (Which might fail of under- or over- whip)

Falling back to the routine of work-eat-sleep

and now I feel tired

time passes much faster going by this routine

yet I feel I've turned into a zombie, subjected to this repetitive lifestyle for the rest of my summer holidays.

Chatted lesser lesser with the ones I cared (and ones that I used to talk to everyday :( )

I suck at keeping up or keeping in contact

(Most of the time I'm easily distracted by something else that popped out of my mind)

Yea when that fails, people also stop finding for me I guess.

even though I very much want to keep in touch but..I fail..

Most of the time now I feel so not me as well

taken over by the tiredness

But I'm greedy (Greedy is good acc to my darl)

I want time to entertain my own thoughts

I want people to keep me company

I want to chat with my friends

I want to drama

I want to movie

I want to sleep

I want to bake

yet all this fail

Now I know what Ting feels like.

The Last Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2

To continue our record of Twilight saga, Wei Ting and me would definitely not miss the chance to catch this movie in cinemas.

My dearest Ting also decides to bring me to try the yummiest pancake: Paddington House of Pancakes

I was craving for good food after two weeks of work

and this date was postponed due to me work on the Saturday before that.

Our usual pick up place: TOA

While Ting go get her cert (SHE GRADUATED!)

I wait in the car with Rila

She said it will be quick.

and so I wait...

and wait...

and wait..

and then I got bored of waiting WeiTing! (HEHE)

So I played with Rila

Rila wanted to drive but.. no body..

and so I drag WT in so that I can restock my supplies
