I used to love premixes (those sold in bakery stores or supermarket)
where you just add in eggs or milk or butter, mixed it up and put into oven.
Simple baking job well done!
And it doesn't fail most time.
But as time passes, and my interest in baking grew,
I realised that those premixes are usually too sweet
or that I don't like not knowing what is inside (typical Food Scientist..? Heh)
Else, I also realised the sense of achievement from baking from scratch is much more too! Though not all recipe succeeds, the feeling is great.
Measuring the flour, mixing it one by one.
My fav: Whipping egg whites! Pretty fluffy mess. (Which might fail of under- or over- whip)
